Abrasion Resistance Test (Small Cables)

S.A ASSOCIATES manufactures abrasion resistance test machine in accordance to various national and International standards.

Station comprises steel needle abrasion to abrade the surface of cables until the needle and conductor come in contact to stop the abrading cycles. For this purpose, a low voltage 24 V is applied between the cable and abrading blade. The abrading length can be set from 10 to 40 mm and an abrading speed (adjustable to standard) is applied to test the abrasive strength of cable surface.

The equipment is operated using touch screen. The operator can select the desired test method.

The cable is suitably clamped on the station using the fixtures provided. Once the test method is selected, user can fill the required test parameters on the fields provided and start the test.
